INFORMATION
The siege of Hazda comes to an end.
BLACK HAWK
He orders one of his company to steal a Roman ballista, which he uses to catapult himself onto the plateau of Hazda only to find the Judean rebels were close to defeat. He convinces the Roman general that the rebels all killed themselves rather than fight and smuggles the remaining Judean survivors off the plateau among his own men and allows them to disappear. Under the orders of the general he leads his men back to Rome.

He breaks rank in an attempt to inform the Roman general of Black Hawk's deceit, but Black Hawk's bird knocks him off the mountainside. He faints, but Black Hawk catches him and he lives.

REVIEW
Despite his assertions, it's pretty obvious what Black Hawk is going to use the ballista for and it's a shame the thief didn't get a moment in the spotlight after the set up in last week's cliffhanger. It's good to see the strip define Black Hawk's morality as he risk life and limb to allow women, children and surrendered combatant alike to go free.
