SYNOPSIS
Savage and Silk deliver some bad news to mobilise the Gorbals Ghetto.

FIRSTS & LASTS
Savage's first proper visit to Scotland.

INFORMATION
The people of Scotland that fought the Volgans were imprisoned in the Gorbals Ghetto of Glasgow. The order has been given to exterminate them all.

BILL SAVAGE
He and Silk are in Scotland. They kill the Volgan special envoy, steal his papers and head for the Gorbals Ghetto. They break in using scaffolding poles to pole vault over the wall.

OTHER CHARACTERS
PETER SILK
He accompanies Savage to the Gorbals Ghetto.

DEATHS
At least five. Savage and/or Silk kill the Volgan Special Envoy, two motorcyclists and two drivers.

BEST LINES
Scot (brandishing a broken bottle): "I don't know who y'are, Jimmy- but y'are not wanted here!"
Savage: "Now that's not a nice welcome for an English tourist, is it?"

REVIEW
It's an interesting start and illuminating to see the different strategies employed by the Volgans in different areas of Britain. Savage's is a lucky swine as his pole vault him land conveniently on a discarded mattress. For no particularly good reason Savage keeps Silk in the dark about the papers. What if Savage had been killed?
